Hello, my name is Samantha Gardner. I have loved and played volleyball for seven years and hope to be involved with the sport for the rest of my life. I started playing club volleyball when I was in 7 th grade for a small, local club called Xtreme Volleyball. In 9 th and 10th grade I played at Texas Image. While at Image, I also participated in Beach Volleyball and got the opportunity to play in the AAU Jr. Olympics in July 2013. Unfortunately, I suffered a shoulder injury during my junior season of high school ball, and was not released in time for club tryouts. I ended up playing for another local team called Club Vertical for my 11th and 12th grade years. After high school, I moved on to spend my freshman year of college playing volleyball at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR. However Arkansas is not my home, and I made the difficult decision to move back to Texas where I can focus on school and be closer to my family. Volleyball has given me the privilege of traveling, teaching me leadership skills, and allowing me to make friends from all over the country. The love and respect I have for this sport is immeasurable. I believe I have had some of the best coaches out there throughout my volleyball career, and my dream is to help others love this sport as much as they helped me.
